TESTIMONIALS
We absolutely loved using Copper and Oak for our home renovation. The thing that separated them from the other contractors was their communication. we will use them on every house project in the future.
Knoxville
Copper + Oak did a phenomenal job renovating our house. They rebuilt our deck, installed a new front door, renovated our entire master bathroom & built custom shelves for our mudroom. We are incredibly grateful to have had such an honest trustworthy company to take on our home renovations. I highly recommend Copper + Oak

RE-IMAGINE HOME
Whole House Remodel
Whether you fancy yourself a Joanna Gaines or simply someone who knows they want a change and needs help with all the design, transforming your entire home is a deeply rewarding and exciting experience. Taking a space with so much potential and watching it all unfold into your dream is incredibly satisfying. Be sure to take plenty of before pictures because you won't believe it ever looked like it did before the work was finished.
Your home is sacred space and sometimes the thought of inviting strangers into it to tear it apart and put it back together can be intimidating and scary. Not to mention all the horror stories you hear about when it comes to contractors. It doesn't have to be that way though.
One of the main problems our industry faces is the lack of understanding of how to run a profitable business and communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors and most importantly, YOU. Often times, homeowners catch the worst of it because this is your home and you're investing GOOD money in making it better. Here's what I mean...
If a contractor isn't great at the accounting side of the business, he doesn't understand if he's profitable or not. If there's money in the bank, he's good. If there isn't, he's stressed to the max. What do most people do under stress? They hide, yell, or otherwise treat people disrespectfully out of fear and self protection.
When there isn't enough money in the bank, the contractor has to sell more work and get a deposit. This deposit will get him enough money to start that job and hopefully finish yours. Then he runs into the same problem on the next project and the cycle continues, sometimes for decades.
After a certain point, customers always seem to be nagging, subs always want more from him than he can give and he's stretched way too thin and stressed to the max. And none of that is YOUR fault, but unfortunately, you get to join in on the experience. Combine that with a legitimate gap in the skilled labor pool and it's a recipe for serious problems.
So far as we can tell, the solution lies with understanding the fundamentals of business. In charging enough money to make a profit so we can actually serve you well and be focused on doing great work. We also prioritize our relationships with our field crews and subcontractors by paying them above market prices for the value they bring to the table.
We also prioritize the experience of you, the homeowner. We understand the level of stress that is inherent in remodeling your home and we take steps to educate you on the process, eliminate expectations and create strong agreements in their place, and honor our word.
Again, we believe your home is sacred space and should be treated as such. We would be honored to have the opportunity to work on your home when the time is right for you.
